   Day 2 : Day 2: Kamakhya Temple,

   Unique Architecture: A mix of Assamese Nagara and Tantric temple styles. Dome-shaped shikhara (like a beehive) with intricate sculptures. No idol—instead, a natural stone yoni-shaped spring worshipped as the goddess. Ambubachi Mela (June-July): Celebrates the annual menstruation of the goddess—a major Tantric festival. Temple closes for 3 days, then reopens with grand rituals. Tantric Practices: A major center for Tantra Vidya (esoteric rituals). Animal sacrifices (mainly goats) still performed in certain rituals.
