Day 2 : Day 2: Mahanadi River
The Mahanadi River is one of the major rivers of eastern India, originating in Chhattisgarh and flowing into Odisha before emptying into the Bay of Bengal. Known as the “lifeline of Chhattisgarh”, it sustains fertile plains, agriculture, and countless towns and villages along its course. The river is also home to the famous Hirakud Dam in Odisha, one of the longest earthen dams in the world. Apart from its economic and ecological importance, the Mahanadi carries deep cultural and spiritual value in the region
